How to submit materials to BIOLAB

What can you contribute?

1. Laboratory exercises or ideas for biology with of an innovative nature or using an investigative approach.

2. News items, publications, or other items of interest to the user group.

3. Science activities, particularly hands-on, investigative types for the elementary level.

4. Items relating to upcoming events, funding opportunties, meetings, workshops, or whatever. This section has not been previously developed, but we're willing to give it a go. Such items should have appropriate information, and may be linked to another WWWeb source. Make certain the expiration date is clear, so these items may be kept timely.

Files and Files

Files posted on BIOLAB for display with Web browsers are converted to hypertext files, which are basically ASCII files with various formating tags inserted to make the file appear as it appears, and to link the file to other files, servers, or images.

The easiest for the Sysops is if files are submitted converted into hypertext using an editor program. Basic conversion to hypertext is pretty simple, and the basics can be learned in just a few minutes.

Alternatives

Email me the files and we'll see about getting them converted.

As a last resort, snail mail disk copies for PC format to: BIOLAB, c/o Dr. Joseph E. Armstrong, 4120-Biological Sciences, Illinois State University, Normal, IL 61790-4120.
