Freycinetia multiflora (Pandanaceae - Screw Pine Family) is a native of the Philippine Islands; the genus of some 100 species ranges from Sri Lanka to New Zealand. Most are climbing shrubs with three ranks of leaves. Here looking lide a flower, colorful inflorescence bracts terminate a stem. The screw pine family is closely related to palms and cyclanths.
