Kevin A. Edwards Assistant Professor of Genetics Characterization of cytoskeletal and signal transduction proteins using molecular, genetic, and cell biological techniques in the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster .  DNA, chromosomal and morphological evolution in the genus Drosophila.
Paul A. Garris Associate Professor of Neurobiology Neurodegeneration Related to Parkinson's Disease and Stroke; Brain Reward System; Dopamine Neurotransmission; Development and Application of Biosensors.
Craig Gatto Assistant Professor of Cell Biology Determining the mechanism of energy transduction by ion pumps and carriers (e.g. how is the chemical energy stored in ATP converted to mechanical work required to move substances in and out of cells?).
Robert L. Preston Professor of Physiology Molecular physiology of membrane transport systems; Membrane transport and cell volume regulation in marine and freshwater organisms
David Rubin Assistant Professor of Physiology Molecular coevolution of Parathyroid Hormone (PTH)-like ligands (PTH; PTH-related peptide, PTHrP; and tuberoinfundibular peptide of 39 residues, TIP39) and their cognate receptors (PTH1R, PTH2R, and the novel PTH3R).  

Comparative Vertebrate Genomics, especially:  zebrafish, pufferfish, and tilapia.  

Molecular Evolution of Multigene families and their relationships to species phylogenies.

Developmental Endocrinology of Zebrafish.

Laura A. Vogel Associate  Professor of Microbiology Immunology, particularly how immune responses are regulated.  Interactions between white blood cells known as B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes using the mouse as a model system.
