Donald J. Schmidt....a.k.a. "The Dean of Green"
Horticulturists for the Department of
Biological Sciences at Illinois State University. I have held
this position since 1983. Dean of Green on WGLT have held this
honored position since 1993.

The Parklands Foundation
is a private not for private organization dedicated to
the preservation, restoration, and protection of of
natural land in McLean and surrounding counties in
central Illinois. We currently own about 2,000 acres of
land mostly along the Mackinaw river.
I have been a member of
the board of directors since 1992, and am currently the
Vice President.

- Tune-in to listen to 10 of the busiest
minutes on radio. Anything remotely related to the
gardening, literature, "my lovely wife Carol",
or plant biology might be discussed by yours truly, the
Dean of Green and Mr. Boon every Friday at 8:50am and
then again in an encore presentation at 5:50 PM only on
WGLT 89.1 FM, Normal Illinois, "the home of news,
blues, and all that jazz" and oh yeah the Dean of
Green. If you have a question that you want answered just
