Volunteer Workers

Volunteers are the life blood of the Funk's Grove Nature Preserve.

The work at the site has been going on for 8 years or so just doing a little bit at a time.

Whether its collecting seeds in the fall or cutting trees in the winter volunteers make it all happen.

There is no previous experience necessary just a willingness to work and love for nature.

Iit is very rewarding and a beautiful place to spend a Saturday morning.

It takes a lot of tree huggers to give the trees a little lovin' at Funk's Grove (at least 5)

and there are many trees even bigger than this one...

Funks Grove is home to six state record trees.
