I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at Illinois State University, in the Behavior, Ecology, Evolution and Systematics section of the Department of Biological Sciences, where I work in the laboratory of Scott Sakaluk. I am broadly interested in questions involving sexual selection and the evolution of insect mating systems. My current research focuses on how female crickets (Gryllodes sigillatus) use cuticular hydrocarbons to recognize and discriminate against previous mating partners.
