Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

The sagebrush cricket, Cyphoderris streptians, occurs exclusively in mountainous areas of Wyoming and Colorado, where it is found in high-altitude sagebrush meadow habitat. We have four established study populations within Grand Teton National Park and Bridger-Teton National Forest. The primary study site, Deadman's Bar, is located beside the Snake River.

Grand Teton National Park includes the Teton Range of the Rocky Mountains in the northwestern portion of Wyoming. The Teton Range is the focal point of the park, rising more than 7,000 feet above the floor of Jackson Hole which borders the mountains on the east. The summit of the Grand Teton stands 13,770 feet above sea level and is the second highest summit in the state of Wyoming.
